We do not currently provide official support for accessing the IoT network remotely via Tailscale. We will discuss with the product team whether this behavior can be improved in future releases.
For now, you may be able to achieve this with the following workaround:

Follow the guide below to advertise the IoT subnet through Tailscale:

Approve the route in the Tailscale Admin Console and accept the route on the client device that will be accessing the IoT network remotely.

Adjust the firewall settings in LuCI to allow forwarding from the Tailscale network to the IoT network:
In our local testing, after making these changes, we were able to successfully access devices on the IoT network through Tailscale:
