I am running Beryl in my RV connected to my starlink mini in repeater mode. I also have a tailscale node setup on the beryl - this gives me access to my home network. Because I am power limited, I turn my starlink on only when I need it. The problem I am having is when I turn the starlink off, I cannot connect to any devices on my local rv network. I pretty sure the tailscale client on the router is intercepting first and because there is no WAN connection, the dns doesn't resolve.
What would be the correct setup in this situation. I have to have the tailscale operability.
Thats how its setup. I can't see any devices on the local network when starlink is turned off - so its either dns or routing issue. I don't know enough about this to sort it out...
Assuming you are using the default 192.168.8.1 as your Beryl LAN IP.
Have you tried...
NETWORK -> LAN -> DHCP SERVER -> Advanced
Put 192.168.8.1 in the Gateway and DNS Server 1 boxes.
I kind of remember a friend of mine told me that he had to turn off Tailscale on his phone and laptop for them to access other resources.
