Terrible speed with work VPN while on my VPN

Hello,
When I use my work computer and log into my job's VPN my speed drops drastically. I have a GL-MT3000 which is loaded with a NordVPN. I get somewhere around 60-120 Mbps of download speed when it's running just the NordVPN. When I get on my work computer, the speeds drop to 1-7 Mbps. I have to run both VPNs so I am wondering if there is anything that can be done to reduce the amount of speed I am losing?
I am not IT savvy so I am completely lost on what can be done so any help is highly appreciated.

Thank you

I'm willing to bet this is the work vpn and has nothing to do with the Beryl AX. Sure, it will be slower than the nordvpn speeds but... If you can test your work computer without the work VPN, that would be good to see what speeds it gets without it. If your work computer refuses to connect to the internet without the work VPN (my experience with work assests), then can you try one time without the nordvpn connection to see if it behaves the same way?

Honestly, I think you should open a ticket with your work saying you normally get between 60-120Mbps on your home internet but on the work VPN, it seems like you only get 1-7Mbps. Then ask if this is normal/expected or is there anything they can do to fix it.

Based on the OP's statement "have to run both VPNs" I'm guessing that the OP is using Nord to mask their location and thus probably doesn't want to stir the pot with their employer. I agree that the issue is most likely the work vpn or the combination of the work vpn and Nord and not the MT3000. I also agree that they need to test the work vpn without Nord but that may not be possible if my initial assumption is true.

As others said, can you test your speed with only your work vpn?

What is your work vpn? is it Cisco anyconnect?

When using double vpn, generally mtu will be a problem and cause serious lagging. Do you have any way to adjust your work vpn mtu? You can also try adjust your computer's mtu.

Check out this one if you have a Windows How to connect Cisco Anyconnect when using VPN on the router (double vpn)
