Can anyone tellme if the GL.iNet GL-MT3000 Beryl is compatible with the Huawei E5783B or is there something in the settings, it sees the device but says there is no sim. Tried two known good different network sims, all work in other devices.

Could you let us know where you see the “No SIM” error message?
According to Huawei’s official documentation, the E5783B is a portable cellular Wi-Fi router.
This device itself is responsible for handling SIM cards and connecting to the cellular network.
Since the issue is occurring on the Huawei device, we recommend reaching out directly to Huawei Support for further assistance.
