The incoming Openwrt switch from OPKG to APK

Openwrt are planning to switch to APK, the Alpine Package Keeper, either from Openwrt 24.10 or soon after:

Are you going to be releasing op24 versions with APK package manager?

There are no plans for this yet.
Let’s observe the user usage of the APK first for a period of time.

One thing i did not know about this is that apk uses more space than opkg, that worries me a little though.

Hopefully they won't increase the minimum flash requirement, lets see how it works out😉
