I am in “America/Los_Angeles” timezone, aka “GMT-7”.
In order to get the Mudi 7 to show the correct time, I had to select “Etc/GMT+7”.
From Google: Etc/GMT+7 is a unique time zone identifier in system administration, specifically used in POSIX/UNIX systems, where the sign is reversed from standard conventions. It represents 7 hours behind Greenwich Mean Time (GMT-7). It is often used to denote Mountain Standard Time (MST) or Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) during summer months.
Hi,
Thank you for your information.
Yes, the signs are reversed.
For the America/Los Angeles timezone, the corresponding Etc/UTC and Etc/GMT values are as follows:
- Etc/UTC−7 = GMT−7
- Etc/GMT+7 = GMT−7
If you want to directly configure the America/Los_Angeles time zone, we recommend accessing Admin Panel → System → Time Zone via a browser on another device to set it.
i live in LA as well. i ended up doing exactly this. at first i was trying to figure out the time zone thingy but luckily when it was connected to the internet, it immediately asked me to sync.
