On top of all this, the level of customization for an OpenWRT based router is pretty insane. You have full control over the linux subsystem as well as all settings. You have access to the package manager to install any kind of server you would want. You can for example use a large SDCard or USB stick and have a plex streaming server on the go.

Have you installed Plex Media Server on your AR750S? I’d be interested to know what is required to do that.

I should have said “plex like”, not exactly plex. Using Samba, Minidlna you can stream to most devices around your house, just no transcoding.

For actual Plex it’s possible to run it on the Brume with Ubuntu but also without transcoding.
