Uboot does not work on Flint2

I tried to enable uBoot and it will not load.
I follow the video instructions:
-plug in ethernet from computer to router
-press and hold reset button
-power on router while holding reset until blinking pattern changes
-change IP address to 192.168.1.2
-navigate to 192.168.1.1
--This should show the uBoot screen (It does not for me)

WHat am I doing wrong?

You followed this instruction?

Try to plug the ethernet cable on LAN2.
I did it today, and it worked to reach UBoot screen :grinning:

LAN2 was the solution. I successfully entered uBoot and updated the firmware.
It seemed to take a long time, and the light on the front was always blinking and never went solid.
Eventually I connected to the WiFi and accessed the admin panel, but it was still the CN version with no VPN options.
Is there a different firmware version to load?

As I said before: There is no official way to convert a CN device to an international one. Not even by Uboot.

So you will need to contact the retailer where you bought it and need to request a replacement with the global version. See Statement on the purchase of products in mainland China

I was hopeful anyway! Returning it will be a hassle so I wanted to try everything I could first.
I even tried using old versions of firmware instead of the current one, it did not work, either.

I am very sorry for you. The issue is that the CN/International identifier isn't stored inside the firmware. So reflashing won't help.
