UK EE No internet connectivity X3000NR

Hi, I recently bought a GL-X3000NR 5G router and having inserted a EE data sim I am able to see the SIM card on the web interface, can see signal quality graphs but there is no internet connectivity. The sim signal and Internet status lights remain off.

I have successfully received the welcome text messages from EE so the SIM card is working.

Please help

I have just activated a SMARTY data only SIM card. Inserted the SIM card into slot 2, switched the active sim and the web interface correctly shows SMARTY network is connected; good signal quality and I have received a couple text messages confirming the SIM card is active.

However, I have the same result as with the EE SIM card; the internet and mobile signal status lights remain off and there is no internet connectivity.

Considering the cost of this device; it’s a joke of a router. Looks like they spent more money on YouTube influencers to push this product than actually testing that it works in the first place.

Looks like it’s going back to Amazon.
