Unable to access any website after setup due to SSL Errors

I just set up the gl-sft1200 router, I am able to connect to websites when using it in repeater mode, however I get a self-signed security error on every website. There is way to accept the certificate and continue, I am simply blocked from every website. I tried firefox, chrome, and safari.

Did I miss a setup step? I searched for this issue and no one else seems to be having the same issue.

Please reboot the router and clear your browser cache (or try incognito window)

I have the same issue after rebooting the router. It wont connect to anything unless I first log into the admin portal, (I dont do anything in the portal, just log in), then it will connect to websites but I get this security error

After spending hours trying to get it to work, it prompted the captive portal login, I signed in and the internet worked normally. But then 20 mins later the wifi was gone. I rebooted the router and then I was able to connect to the wifi again, but then stuck in the security loop again.

@bruce Any idea?

Hello,

  1. Please try upgrading to SFT1200 v4.7.2 without "keep settings" first and test again, if no luck try enabling camouflage mode for repeater.

  2. Will this issue occur if the repeater is connected to a phone hotspot (or other normal Wi-Fi)?

  3. Login to the captive portal WiFi, the prompt page that appears, there is a view certificate please check what certificate is wrong with it.

  4. Except for SSL page (443), is it normal for phone APPs to access the Internet?

What admin portal are you signing into?
A long shot, but check that your system clock is set correctly.

+1 for this. Ensure system date / time is correctly set on your device as this can cause SSL errors. Ensure both the router and the devices are correct.

Also, try using another device to rule out the device being the problem.

No. This won't cause any SSL issues.

There is no SSL intercept built-in the router.

Im talking about when you access a website on your end device and the time and date are wrong. You do get SSL warnings.
