Unable to connect to OpenVPN

I am getting an error where I can’t connect to the server. It’s says UDP link local: not bound

Does anyone know how to fix this ?

Is the OpenVPN server from commercial service provider, or is it a private server?

Can you post a screenshot with the error message and also post the OpenVPN config (with keys redacted)?

I do not work for and I do not have formal association with GL.iNet

That looks like an IPv6 Error.
Are you using IPv6, if you are not using try turning IPv6 off in More Settings IPv6.

This way the openvpn will attach via ip4, rather than trying to use ipv6.

Simon

Or perhaps change the protocol to UDP4.

SIGHUP[soft,tls-error] received, process restarting
DEPRECATED OPTION: --cipher set to ‘AES-256-CBC’ but missing in --data-ciphers (AES-256-GCM:AES-128-GCM). Future OpenVPN version will ignore --cipher for cipher negotiations. Add ‘AES-256-CBC’ to --data-ciphers or change --cipher ‘AES-256-CBC’ to --data-ciphers-fallback ‘AES-256-CBC’ to silence this warning.

This is the log. IPv6 is off btw

It just seems that it cannot connect to the vpn server.

First make sure you have normal Internet without vpn.

Second make sure the vpn works in windows or Linux to verify it is valid.

If you need further help, email us the details.

It looks like a TLS authentication error, so now you will need to supply some hints about what you are trying to do. Who is trying to connect to what? Is this a GL-inet device acting as server or client?
