@bruce @admon That's what I see. I've always used the standard GL.iNet firmware.
Click the WIRELESS and then export the syslog in GL -> SYSTEM -> Log, PM to me.
I was about to send you the logs when I noticed that nothing unusual was being recorded in the syslog during the error on the "WIRELESS" tab. So, I decided to reset the router to its factory settings, using the 4.6.4 firmware released today, September 5, and now everything seems to be working as expected. iPhone tethering is working fine, as are LuCi access and the Wi-Fi management interface. It seems like there was a configuration conflict, although I hadn’t made any changes to OpenWrt. I’m not sure what caused it, but the important thing is that it’s working now. Thanks for the support!
I hads same error with wireless tab after upgrading keeping settings, after a firmware reset it works again.
pls also look into this:
root@GL-AXT1800:~# ls -l /etc/TZ
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 7 Sep 5 02:14 /etc/TZ -> /tmp/TZ
links to a nonexisting file.
root@GL-AXT1800:~# ls -l /etc/firmware_type
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 3 Jan 1 1970 /etc/firmware_type
the 1970 date causes problems with rsync, which i use for backups.
Same...Did the upgrade here on my existing Flint 1 configuration...Everything looked good until I turned on WiFi in the GL.inet GUI. Got errors. (Was able to actually turn it on/off without issue in LUCI). But if after turning it on in LUCI I went back to the GL.inet GUI then I couldn't access the WiFi section at all. (I could access it again in the GL.Inet GUI if I turned off the WiFi in LUCI).
Since I saw a post here about the problem went away after a reset that's what I did and I can confirm that the problem with the WiFi in the GL.inet GUI went away after I reset the Flint1 router and then set everything up again (A fairly lengthy task for me as I have lots of customizations in both GL-inet GUI as well as LUCI in addition to VPN setups etc). Anyway everything is now working again in 4.64 RC after resetting and reconfiguring everything.
