I have recently installed my new Spitz ax3000 router. Using a Vodafone 5g SIM card in it with unlimited speed \ data .
I have connections to the internet however when it comes to Chromecast devices \ Roku , although they have a connection, they are unable to stream via netflix and some other platforms (BBC iPlayer ).
Are there any settings in the router that I need to enable or disable to assist with this or more likely to be issues with the streaming apps ? YouTube premium seems to work fine. Have tried all of the usual restarts etc as suggested online .
Thanks in advance for any input anyone can provide .
Example the phone and Chromecast/Roku connect to the Spitz router, and airplay/airdrop (also mean throw/share) the video stream to the Chromecast TV from the APP of the phone, right?
I assume probably the issue is related to the video stream APP, it restricted the video stream from the phone to the TV, to protect the video copyright or the subscription.
Thanks for the reply Bruce. I sorted it in the end . I needed to add the devices to the "family devices " or similar name . Because I was streaming through the new 5g SIM card rather than landline , it blocked the device .
I accessed Netflix via the Roku device , went into "get help " in the netflix menu, then go to "manage netflix household ". Then I followed the prompts to set this device to the main netflix device. This resumed streaming access . It seems because I was accessing my account via a new internet connection it caused the streaming to be blocked . Hopefully this can help others out . Thanks again .
