Unable to use Network Storage (latest firmware)

I just purchased a new GL-AXT1800 router and placed a new 120GB MicroSD card into the slot.

Everything else works out of the box but when I go to the Network Storage page I see the MicroSD card (formatted EXFAT) but the section under File Services is blank

The help forums assume there is something there but my site has nothing:

What could cause this? How do I enable Samba/WebDAV/etc.?

Thanks for any help.

Can you look at this page when you don't have a MicroSD card

Try another browser?

I ejected the SD card and same thing.

Also tried the iOS app and it would even open the Network Storage section with a red error stating there was a request error.

I’ve tried it in with Safari on iOS and Chrome on Linux

What is the software version number?

Exact same issue here.

Model: GL-MT3000
Firmware version: v4.6.0 (same result on 4.5.16, go to beta didn't resolve this)

Tested USB devices are a WD Element 8TB and SanDisk Ultra Luxe 128GB.
Originally attached the WD (NTFS formatted, GPT single partition) to use as a NAS, result is the same page shown as OP.

To troubleshoot, I reformatted the WD to exFAT, or attached the SanDisk 128GB (tried NTFS/exFAT/FAT32) to eliminate if the partition is too big (though very unlikely). All result in same.

Checking LuCI both disk and both NTFS/exFAT/FAT32 can be successfully recognized and mounted by OS, verified R/W-able by using CLI to mounted path and operate on the directory.

It seems unlikely related to hardware connection or FS not recognizable. in OpenWRT level the mount drive is fully normal, however seems something wrong maybe in the GL module(s).
Also unlikely browser issue, tested with Chrome & Edge & Firefox on both Win 11 & Linux.
And same result with using mobile app.

Hope the above troubleshoot steps helps to identify the issue.

I purchased a second unit and that one did not have this issue. Do you think a complete reinstall of the firmware could fix it?

Give it a try then and report back.

Can I check this remotely, please?

I have the same issue. Did anyone found a solution for this?

For me I purchased a second device that did not exhibit the issue. I also factory reset and upgraded both devices' firmware a year later and I haven't seen the issue again.
