Unable to view the Bitlocker Startup Pin

Hi,

I have connected the GL-RM1 Comet to a Lenovo notebook that has Bitlocker encrypted drive and requires a pin when the computer is booting up (power on or restarted). Somehow, the BIOS or the Bitlocker pin page is not loaded when the computer is powered on or restarted. However, it accepts the keyboard input, so I believe it is a display problem.

I have tried all the EDIDs options available, including trying to use custom EDID, but it still does not display the BIOS or Bitlocker pin page.

Any advice on how to overcome this?

As far as I know, a small portion of images such as security key requests will not be output through HDMI. You can verify this hypothesis by connecting an external monitor.
Alternatively, you can also search for relevant security settings options

Hello, I have a similar problem but the other way round.
After starting my hp notebook via wake on lan, the image is transferred, but it does not accept the keyboard input. If you connect a normal keyboard directly via USB, it works.

As soon as you are in the Windows interface, all mouse and keyboard commands are accepted. I have already tested the USB-A and USB-C ports. Any ideas? Thanks a lot!

Can you export the logs to us in help?

Of course... Attached are the log files

glkvm_log.zip (46.8 KB)

I would assume that there might be some EFI setting for "handling legacy USB devices"

From the log, it can be seen that the system refuses the keyboard and mouse of glkvm on this page. We will see if it can be solved

I locked one of my disks to test bitlocker and it seems to work fine. Can you provide more information?

By default, when BitLocker is enabled on a system drive that has a TPM, it will use the TPM to automatically unlock the drive at startup. To configure a password or PIN at startup, you need to change the policy settings.

The steps to configure this are in this article: The system does not ask for a Bitlocker password when logging into Windows. - Microsoft Q&A
