I seem to have bricked my router when trying to update the firmware using the panel interface
I have followed the unbricking webpage and uploaded the firmware to the router - it uploads ok, says it is installing and then gets stuck on the reboot of the router. The window states Upgrade Complete - but nothing happens - the circle keeps going around for hours and the light on the front of the router just flashes blue
using U-Boot 2022.07-rc3 (Nov 23 2022
should I reinstall U-boot - and where could I get this from?
You can't reinstall UBoot as far as I know. Light flashes when there is no WAN connection. Close the webbsroser and power cycle the router. Disconnect LAN cable and set IP to Auto on your computer.
This gives you the choice of uploading a boot file
I have powered off and on and following the rest of your instructions, the router is back working again. Now for the hit and miss of restoring my old configuration>
By restoring, I meant adding the settings one by one!
All fine now. I was confused by the message that said the router was rebooting - when in fact, it had rebooted many minutes before - I was loath to switch it off, fearing that all would be lost again. Perhaps a message to say all finished and good to go would be helpful!
