You should be able to adapt Jan-Lukas Else's instructions for updating Tailscale on the GL.iNet Beryl AX (GL-MT3000) to also update it on the GL.iNet Slate AX (GL-BE3600) because they both run a similar OpenWRT based firmware. However, you need to be sure that the architecture and package dependencies are compatible, as the BE3600 uses a different chipset (Qualcomm IPQ5018). Check Tailscale's official instructions here: Tailscale API ยท Tailscale Docs or check the GL.iNet forums and search for anything related to Tailscale on the BE3600 to verify that it is compatible and you have not overlooked anything that could potentially cause problems. Also, be sure to back up your settings before you update!
