USB modem is not working with Slate 7 (GL-BE3600)

Hi there! I was really impressed by the ad and description, so I ended up purchasing a GL.iNet Slate 7 (GL-BE3600) router, hoping to use it with the following modems:

  • T99W175
  • Sierra EM9190
  • Netgear MR1000

When connecting any of the listed modems via USB and pressing the "Cellular" button on the touchscreen, I receive the message: "No Modem device found". The device also doesn't appear in the UI. Therefore, it doesn't work out-of-the-box.

In the command line, we can see:

Hello,

May I know is this modem be work through the tethering connection with router?
(Other two seem to be unsupported in GL standard firmware. Sorry.)

About the T99W175 modem, you can refer to this thread:

Sorry my bad, the post was not based on GL hardware, more for the discussion on T99W175.

This T99w175 works fine with the router keenetic. Absolutely avoid complications with it.

No problem, the T99W175 is depended ono the GL m.2 board, and the USB (C 2 A) is supposed to be connected any router, including the GL router, so all they work.
