Hi,
I have a GL-MT3000 tethered to a Pixel 6a, It used to work OK dropped out every now and then, either rebooting the phone or the router or both seemed to fix any issues but in the last couple of days the router wont connect for more than a couple of seconds before it rejects the phone, the USB tethering button on the phone remains selected. I remeber initially trying to connect an OPPO 3X phone and its tethering button would never select so i couldnt use that phone. Any ideas, have you updated the firmware recently? the ui for the router does look a bit different.
Hello,
When there is an issue happened, please export an issue syslog and PM me.
Please try changing a better data cable.
Please try turning on USB developer debug mode.
Probably the phone OPPO 3X OS does not support the tethering USB sharing cellular network.
I’m having exactly the same issue with an iPhone… It drops continuously and all the time. Basically, it’s made the MT 3000 completely useless for the purpose of tethering.
I worked abroad for 6 month on a Beryl GL-MT-3000 tethered to an Iphone 8 SE.
Employee uses internal FortyNet and i was on NordVPN to relocate my IP.
I bought also a Slate AXT and Flint 2 and switched to Wireguard.
Most time i have weak Mobile Signal max 3 beams on the iPhone Display.
In 6 Hours contsantly doing Calls and upto 1 GB Upload/Download i`ve maximum
1 dropout durning the shift. That is usual happening occasianly also on my homeISP when i am not abroad. Whole System runs on a Powerstation due enxepected electricity blackouts.
Now i switched to Wireguard in hope to get less Jitter, and it sounds good and stable in my testruns with tje Slat-AXT. The Beryl goes with me as BackUpDevice.
Have you tried to use Beta 4.7.4 ? And switch to USB 2.0 in the Web UI ?
I found a post where someone was mentioning the pinging of the WAN connections may be the issue...
I probably need to test that... but the entire reason for purchasing it was that it needed to work immediately.
Tried a few things and has worked all day since without issue, so maybe worth a try.
Turn off Wifi and Blutooth on the phone also in the router settings main page select the tethering icon and change the sensitivity to low. Good luck all
