Using Beryl on my work network to create wifi network

Hello all,

I'm looking to set my Beryl router on my company's LAN to broadcast wifi (at my boss's request). The password to the shared wifi changes every 90 days and there's a device that's headless that needs wifi. I was going to use the ethernet cable going to one of the shared PC's in the office to the router, then use one of the LAN ports to go back to the shared PC. I tried this quickly the other day using AP mode without success.

It looks like the network at work has some specific DHCP/ip address and DNS settings. So I'm wondering what would be the best "mode" for this operation? I saw the "drop-in gateway" mode and wasn't sure how that worked :man_shrugging:

I saw THIS solution to another problem and wasn't sure if this'd work for me as well.

Hi,

It seems the AP mode is more suitable for your scenario, but I am not very sure, as I have not very clear to know your network topology.
No worry, let us try AP mode, and if not suitable, just long press the reset button to reset the firmware.
