Using OpenVPN Can't get to devices on 192.168.8.xxx subnet

Hi,

I am using an AR300M router in WISP mode, OpenVPN on the router connects to a VPS webserver running OpenVPN server which is setup to push routes to the 192.168.8.xxx subnet and setup for the AR300M client to have that LAN subnet behind it.

Testing over 4G on a phone through OpenVPN I can ping and connect to the router on 198.168.8.1 just fine, but can’t get to any device on the 192.168.8.xxx subnet.

Do I need to change something in the firewall, how can I debug this? Is there a firewall log?

Thanks,

Andy

I don’t think it works as you expected. The router itself is 192.168.8.1 and you cannot use the same in your openvpn server.

If you want to bridge all the devices to your openvpn network, that could be possible but I don’t know how to do that now. We are developing openvpn server in our mini router and hope to solve this vpn bridge problem at the same time.
