Trying to get Verizon to provide a QR code for eSIM card I purchased. They claim that they do not provide the QR codes for devices they don’t know or support.
Has anyone been successful in activating a profile on eSIM with Verizon?
Verizon seems to be very selective on what devices they will activate service on. My recommendation would be to obtain the IMEI number of a supported device (preferably an Android phone) and provide that number to Verizon. You would then change the IMEI number of the GL-iNet router/modem to the supported IMEI number. Remember to record the original IMEI number before changing it.
The main issue is that simply cloning the IMEI won’t work with Verizon. They use an EID database that links each IMEI to a specific EID. So if you change the IMEI and attempt to load the profile, you’ll encounter an error stating: “The EID is not the same between reservation and request.”
