please send me the debug log [email protected]
I sent the log files by email as requested
I noticed many logs in your system indicating HDMI signal loss and USB reconnections. Have you set a very short sleep timer on your computer? Additionally, the display issues might be related to a decoding bug in your browser.
Please check your PM message. I have provided you with a temporary firmware; please try it to see if it resolves your issue.
I loaded the test firmware…I don’t see a big change in behavior with the exception that the HDMI connection seems to connect easier. However, I have the same reproducible issue that needs to be addressed.
-
I open the GLKVM tab and eventually I see the prompt “No HDMI signal detected”
-
I start my PC…I can get the HDMI, mouse, keyboard started and go into Windows.
-
I then shutdown Windows
-
I close the GLKVM tab in Firefox.
-
In a new Firefox tab, I launch the GLKVM connection again
-
I start the PC again. I can connect the HDMI, mouse, and keyboard BUT the screen just shows the computer’s start screen before Windows loads and never updates
-
If I refresh the browser tab I can see the current HDMI screen but the mouse and keyboard do not respond
-
If I reboot the KVM then I can connect normally.
-
Seems anytime I exit a GLKVM session I need to reboot to get stable operation
This is reproducible!!
I pulled new log files and I will send them to the same email address.
For the issue where the screen gets stuck on the BIOS screen, FIREFOX has decoding problems in smart mode. Do not use this mode; use normal mode instead.
As recommended above, I use WebRTC + normal mode and the issue still occurs.
I haven’t tried ssh yet, but, I wanted to add that after poking around, the issue here might actually be that the device has issues when there is more than one saved network. It just so happens that the second saved network was a 5ghz network, so I misinterpreted the bug. When I use the touchscreen to change to the other saved wifi network, the device connects successfully.
Very different issue than what I am experiencing. I have never setup WiFi on the Comet Pro… I periodically have no HDMI response.
Is there a message indicating no HDMI signal input? Or is there a problem with the HDMI output?
If you are using an IP address to access the device, please ensure that your PC and the RM10 are on the same local area network.
No problem with HDMI output. I can restart the RM10 and it will see the HDMI output
Please try the upcoming version 1.7.2, where we've resolved some HDMI-related issues.
I’ve been using 1.72 for most of today…seems to be working well! I will update if I run into any issues…thanks!!
Saw some video glitching like before in Windows 11 but only one time
Try using normal mode instead of smart mode.
I am using normal mode…
That's an issue with the browser's decoding implementation.I can do nothing about it
However, I never see this issue unless using the KVM
Most modern streaming services do not use WebRTC as the underlying technology. I have observed several real-time streaming platforms, including Twitch, and none of them use WebRTC as the foundation. May it because WebRTC players are uncontrollable.
