I have an Opal router at home hosting a Wireguard VPN. Using the client configs generated by that router I can connect:
An iPhone using the Wireguard app
A Mac using "wireguard-go"
Thus…the VPN server is working properly.
However, using a generated config on a second Opal travel router in the Wireguard VPN client section of the second Opal's admin I am not getting any traffic.
Both Opals are updated to the latest version (4.x) of the router firmware.
Does anyone have such a setup and have it working? What is the trick?
This seems to be the old "ACTION=REKEY-TIMEOUT" issue that I'm reading about here in the forums and none of the threads I've read so far have led me to a solution. I don't see ANYone saying that the issue is fixed.
Opal WG client connecting to working Opal WG server…why should this even be an issue?
Is the WAN of your server router public IP (dynamics is also ok, as long as it is not CGNAT), or if the server router connected to the primary router, is the primary router configured the port forwarding?
When you use WG APP in iPhone and MAC to test connecting to WG server, are they connected to other networks? like try using iPhone's mobile cellular to test (it can't connect directly to the server router's LAN/WLAN)
