Hello,
Does the MT6000 supports VLANs out of the box or is it better to flash the device with an OpenWRT sysupgrade image?
Kind regards, Kenneth.

Not support 802.1q VLAN by default.
You may need to setup it via Luci or CLI command.
Hello Rain,
Thanks for your response. So to verify:
Kind regards, Kenneth.
Not really, details explanation shall as follows:
GL.iNet GUI -- so far not support to setup VLAN
Luci GUI -- can setup VLAN in menu Interface > devices > br-lan > global VLAN filtering
If you use OpenWRT official firmware, then you will only have Luci GUI, you can also setup it as above.
Besides, if you are good at CLI, you can ssh in this router and setup VLAN by command.
vlans is better on normal openwrt than gl software, because the ui is only aware of lan and guest network so clients tab will likely not function properly, the vpn policies.
plus you can get better support when you get stuck on the openwrt forums, they can't help you however with the gl firmware
also you want some videos to get a start:
