I bought the Beryl AX (GL-MT3000) to log in to my work environment from abroad in a secure way. Some applications have a geographical restriction, so I need VPN to pretend I am in my home country.
But because my work environment uses an Always-on-VPN for some applications and the network shares, a VPN User Tunnel starts every time I use the VPN in the router. And because of that, some applications and network shares are not accessible.
I know that VPN over VPN is difficult, but isn't there a solution for it?
Change the VPN proxy policy mode to Based on the target domain or IP and exclude the IP / domain of your Always ON VPN.
But generally speaking: Don't try to fool your company that you are in your home country. They have ways to check it and it might get you into bigger trouble....
Hi admon, I will look in to that.
I'm not trying to fool the company, they know I will be working on holiday
I tried the VPN proxy policy mode to exclude the domain of the Always On VPN and at first it looked like it was working. But today again a VPN User Tunnel started and I wasn't able to go the the network shares anymore.
I need the VPN for a few websites and applications with a geographical restriction, but the rest of the applications are behind the Always-on-VPN. I need both for work.
