📣 We’re exploring the next generation of our Spitz and Puli series

It is not useful for me.

I would love ip passthrough for 5G fail over usage when its not being used on the road.

Not important

Bridgemodus is enough

Mostly are under CGNAT so not that important.

I’d say it is quite important.

Saving Energy and resist High temeratures is still a very good idea.

Smooth Changes to use

Usb c pd Power

Usb c Port for tethering

Round about 2 gb RAM

Esim in Chipset

Antenna Output at 1 or 2 Sides (not 3) to save some space when plugin cables.

Maybe internal WLAN antennas only, to save some space

What i would not Change

More CPU Power may mean more Temperatur.

The Vent is still a great Idea and make the differnce to mudi7. Is the mudi 7 temperature resitent enough to fight the clima Change. Two weeks with +60 degree and none stop working +6 weeks in a mobile Home. This will be the Spitz class for me as Advertisement suggest.

GL iNet, is there any progress on a new Puli or other cellular router? Can you share any timeframe or any expected specs/features?

That would be awesome. I'd love to see it.

At this stage, I'm hoping it'll be an X85 modem. X105 was just announced, but for phones so unlikely to see it, but awesome if GL.iNet uses that!

I've been thinking about this, and despite the RAM crisis, I'm hoping for even more RAM if this is a flagship stationary cellular modem. I'm hoping for between 3-4 GB of RAM for the large blocklists with AdGuard Home.

USB-C and PoE would be very nice as well.

I can't emphasize enough that a user-replaceable battery would be ideal. I would love to get this as a backup internet solution.

@will.qiu

Thank you for your suggestion. We will pass it along to the relevant team for their consideration.

So no expected release time or specs yet?

I think the Puli AX is flagship enough. It can also be upgrade at some point, but first there needs to be an upgrade of the original Puli.

Upgraded chip for higher VPN speeds

5G global modem

upgraded (replaceable?) battery

maybe with (optional?) external antennas

but still relatively small with 2 ethernet ports and not as expensive as the AX.

Yes, the product is still in the early stages of development.

We will pass your suggestions along to the relevant team for consideration as well.

Personally, i think the existing specs are quite reliable as they are.

General improvements that would make me upgrade is

  • Upgraded modem with assurance of future upgrade capability or just straight up flexiblity to choose brand of modem at purchase / empty device someone can install a modem in.
  • Ability to have 2 sim's active at the same time to use SDWAN or finer failover capability
  • More ethernet ports
  • USB C power
  • Appreciate modem options are limited but something that can run a newer kernel at launch. I know you guys do backporting for security issues and some features but the average Joe sees a old kernel version and starts panicking.
  • Wifi 7
  • Power efficient (where possible)
