picking up from Slate AX won't connect to 5GHz (Ch 144-173) network as a repeater - #20 by Cal
4.4.5 doesn’t have it. Is there a timeline or version number for kernel 5.4 in stable?

Sorry, AXT1800 does not have a stable kernel 5.4 development schedule because of TIP(GitHub - Telecominfraproject/wlan-ap) does not yet support stable kernel 5.4.
That’s sad. I hope that gets unlocked soon.
could you check whether this has changed since according to the repo ( wlan-ap/feeds/ipq807x_v5.4/ipq60xx/image/ipq60xx.mk at main · Telecominfraproject/wlan-ap · GitHub ) IPQ60XX the AXT1800 is supported since April 2023 (Version: 2.11).
It recently got an update with some fixes in 3.0 for IPQ60XX.
Can we expect to see an upgrade of AXT1800 to OpenWRT 23.05 with Kernel 5.4 like announced here => What's New | 3.0.0 | OpenWiFi for the 3.0 Version of Telecominfraproject/wlan-ap ?
Thanks so much and have a great day!
Sorry to come back to this one.
We should upgrade to OpenWrt 23.05 in firmware 4.7.
When I check GL.iNet download center (gl-inet.com) I do not see AXT1800 listed for Firmware 4.7.
Does it mean that this device will be EOSL?
It would be great to see kernel 5.x for this device. Kernel 4 has some major issues, such as that you cannot properly work with ExFAT in the SD-Card slot.
We are still working on 4.7 and will release later.
Please update us asap. That would be great to have kernel 5.x for AXT1800. We have been waiting for so long.
Please wait, still developing for the AXT1800.
