When in AP Network mode, which port to use as uplink?

Tried searching but didn't really see the answer.

I have a Marble in AP mode. Does the ethernet uplink go into the WAN or one of the LAN ports?

The main router is a Flint2. However, the uplink to the Marble is plugged into an ethernet switch rather than directly plugged into the Flint2. Is that correct?

How does the Marble know the correct SSID to broadcast?

Always WAN.

By configuring it using the web UI.

There is no "real" AP mode like a dumb AP mode - you can (and need) to always configure the device using the web UI.

So, I still need to configure both radios with similar matching ssid as the main router so it can bridge correctly.

Is that also true for extender/WDS mode?
