When will GL-B1300 and GL-S1300 get mesh function on firmware 4.x?

I have three meshed GL-B1300's running firmware 3.216.

On GL-inet's Firmware Download Center, I saw that several versions of firmware 4x titled "Downloads of Stable Firmware" were available, so I flashed my main node with the latest one (4.3.17), and lost my mesh!

The other two subnodes didn't automatically upgrade to 4.3.17, so I factory reset them and reconfigured them into a new mesh. Then I had to painfully downgrade the old, upgraded main node back to firmware 3.216 via Uboot and rejoined it as a second subnode.

My mistake was assuming that Stable Firmware also meant fully functional firmware. It was only while looking for a solution that I came across this: "Note: Currently, the GL-B1300 and GL-S1300 do not have mesh function."

My questions are:

  1. When will GL-B1300 and GL-S1300 get mesh function on firmware 4.x?
  2. Why does GL-iNet publish firmware updates as stable, when at best they are beta versions?

Hi,

Learned from PM team, the MESH of B1300 & S1300 would not be brought back. Please continue to use the specific version (3.216) if require MESH.
