Node-Usability-Testing failed
Thanks for any help
i got it, after deactiviting the WireGuard-Server it went thru
so its better to activate (start the network) without VPN/WG-Stuff activated on the Nodes.
After the Network is established, you can activate VPN ect... it is working
notice: native the Node 1 will not use MainNode for InternetAccess
so your public IP of Node 1 will be exposed if not running Node1 as VPN/WG-Client
GoodCloud is just to establish a connection between Routers for Admin the Devices in the Network.
For example: Laptop & Slate are used in Holiday to acces the Printer or Server which is Home behind the Mainrouter. They are acting like one Network and the Printer or Server behind Main Node doesent care that you are abroad with the Slate and acces the Printer behind Main Node.
Just keep in mind: the Slate or Laptop will not aquire automatically the home-IP when using Goodcloud. You will still need to run VPN/Wireguard on the Slate to protect your real Location-IP.
For the Scenario to connect the routers without VPN and use the Home-IP, Astrorelay can be considered. Or run Wireguard-Server on Main Node (Flint) and Node1 (Slate) as Client
When you activating VPN-Cascading in the VPN-Server on Flint, you can gain control over your IP.
Deactivating VPN-Cascading will give the Slate the Home-IP of Main Node (Flint)
For Example Cascading:
active Step 1: Slate as WG-Client on Flint WG-Server
(Home-IP to all Devices connected to Slate)
active Step 2: Flint as Client on your VPN-Providers Server (VPN-IP) all Devices connected to Slate getting the IP you configured in the VPN-Providers Settings on the Flint
