Why is openvpn speed of the Slate7 slower than older models?

Hi all,

This page shows that open vpn speed of the Slate 7 is slower than older models, for example the Beryl MT 3000:

OpenVPN Speed

Slate 7 / GL-BE3600
Dual-band Wi-Fi 7 Travel Router:
Max.100Mbps

Beryl AX / GL-MT3000
Wi-Fi 6 Gigabit Travel Router:
Max.150Mbps

Can someone elaborate on this?

CPU and stuff.

OpenVPN isn't optimized for multi-core usage.
