Wi-Fi Not Initializing GL-X3000 With OpenWRT

Hello,

I will apologize upfront and tell you I am extremely new to the game of flashing routers with customized versions of OpenWRT. Long story short, my boss asked me to look into this and see if I can have success flashing the GL-X3000 with OpenWRT although I have no experience whatsoever. While I was able to successfully flash the router with an OpenWRT firmware, I cannot seem to get the Wi-Fi working. I did not add anything extra in the OpenWRT menu config other than Luci and setting the correct target and system (MediaTek Arm, Filogic, GL-X3000). I'm sure I am not providing enough information for someone to help me out so please let me know what other information I can provide.

Spitz GL-X3000 constantly crashing

I ended up flashing the openwrt snapshot build to the router and haven’t had any crashes since. This means, thankfully, no hardware issue just buggy software. support for gl.inet gl-x3000 was only recently added so snapshot builds are the only option until the next official openwrt build is released. since snapshot builds only exist for 24 hours (midnight probably), you’ll want to keep a copy of the repo (in the instructions) to install software, etc, after that time period. download openwrt s…
