so i just got the gl inet mango, and set it up in repeater mode to connect to my dorm's wifi. the dorm provides a 100mbps connection, which i do get when i speedtest, but i'm only getting around 25mbps through the mango.
also, torrenting is also extremely slow for some reason when connected to the internet through the mango. i've tried torrenting the same file (ubuntu iso) on my dorm's network and it's really fast, while on the mango, it's an average of 13.5 KiB/s.
When downloading the file, please SSH to router and check the load status of Mango: top
You can observe your network DL/UL speed through the speedtest.net website, this is more reference.
Since Mango only supports 2.4GHz WiFi, it is more susceptible to interference.
For example, if there are more 2.4GHz WiFi devices around it, it will occupy channel OTA interface resources, resulting in a lower speed.
If it can get 25Mbps at the moment, it may be in the expected range. If you turn off other 2.4GHz WiFi, it may be a little improvement, but not too much.
