WiFi Connection Quality between GL.iNet GL-X3000 (Spitz AX) 5G NR AX3000 Cellular Router and Starlink

WiFi Connection Quality between GL.iNet GL-X3000 (Spitz AX) 5G NR AX3000 Cellular Router and Starlink.

Can anyone explain why there is such a huge difference in the speedtest of the starlink Gen 3 router to the internet as compared with the speedtest from the device (android phone) to the internet?
Please see attached images.

Hi,

The topology of the first picture is Android - GEN3 - Starlink - Internet, is the "GEN3" a router?

The topology of the fourth picture is Android - X3000 - Starlink - Internet, is this right?

Maybe the WAN speed rate (provided by Starlink) of the X3000 is not high, so the Internet speed test of the X3000 is not high.

Regardless of whether pass-by the router is X3000 or GEN3, the Internet speed has dropped, please ask to Starlink's technical support at the same time.

You need to first ensure that the speed of the X3000 WAN is close to 300Mbps of the third graph.

On X3000, you can use SSH to the router, and speedtest to test WAN speed:

opkg update
opkg install python3-speedtest-cli
speedtest

Thank you for your response.
Gen3 is the Starlink router.
I set the Starlink router to "Bypass Mode " in order to use the GL-X3000 router.
Starlink support suggest it might be poor wifi between the device (android phone) and router.
However, I will follow your suggestion and see the result.
Thank you :+1:t4:

Wi-Fi scanner maybe to see what channels this is on along with neighbors.??

It seems like Nordvpn is also restricting some speed as can be seen in these 2 screen shots.

Test results after SSH to the GL X3000 router, and speedtest to test WAN speed.
Tested from Laptop with 5GHz WIFI connection to GL X3000 router.

UPDATE.
I enabled IPv6 on the GL router and I observed much better performance.

I will settle for this performance.

Thank you for your assistance.
