WireGuard and GL-AXT1800 (Two WireGuard connections at the same time)

Thank you very much for your response.

  1. Is the hardware capable of doing so?
What I mean is: will the estimated speed of Wireguard be 1/3 per each tunnel, or will each tunnel have the max estimated speed?

Example: if for example you have 300Mbps estimated Wireguard speed on your comparison table for buying GL.inet routers, will the esteem for each VPN tunnel be 100Mbps (in the case of 3 Wifi SSIDs with 1 VPN tunnel each), or will each one be able to still have 300Mbps? At least in theory.

  1. Can you kindly link me what else needs to be done? Specially about this part: "you need to manually set up traffic forwarding on the firewall rules on Luci so that the current VPN rules take effect on the WiFi network.".
Maybe you could add a piece to the documentation on how to do this kind of example (multiple ssids with multiple vpns)? Or you can link me to it if there is already.
Or at least can you give me some more info on what the firewall thing? How dififcult is it? Difficult = having to mess around with routing tables, sub networks, having to make complex config. Not difficult = something that can be done through UI.

Thanks for your inquiry!

  1. Yes, the combined speed of all Wireguard VPNs will not exceed the total estimated maximum speed.

  2. When you create a new VPN tunnel, you need to manually configure firewall traffic forwarding rules in Luci to ensure that the WiFi network you create uses the VPN tunnel's network.
For example, if I create a Wireguard tunnel, I also need to specify that IoT traffic be forwarded to the Wireguard1 tunnel.
