can someone tell me why i need to manually set a new Static IP when connecting to a wifi whever I have the router wireguard VPN turned on?
my setup is:
ISP > ROUTER Connects via Repeater LAN > ROUTER'S Client Wireguard VPN turned on.
The internet works with client wireguarnd off; but when i turn the client's wireguard on, then internet stops working, eventhough there is a successfuly wireguard connection. In order to get client's wireguard to work, i then go to repeater LAN setting and I manually assign a random Static IP, then the wireguard client works afterwards. I have been using good life for almost 3 years and I never had this problem, this problem now has been occuring for the past 3 months consistently.
I have multiple goodlife router, and this problem is occuring on my Beryl, slate, and mango Maybe it is some bug in the software.
Looks like the ISP router configuration issue probably, but need to further check.
Let try the simplest connection: GL router repeater connects to the ISP, DHCP IP. Others features disabled like AGH, WG Client, etc.
can the GL router internet work? If not, need to check, the IP of GL cannot obtain from the ISP? In general, ISP modem (or ISP modem router?) should automatically allocate IP to clients. For example, GL router is now the wireless client for the ISP.
Please check how about the other clients work well which connected to ISP, can they automatically obtain IP and internet work?
DNS manually change to Google 8.8.4.4
Please export and share the syslog about the repeater connection
Sorry, I made a mistake in the description about my setup. I am attaching a picture of my internet setup.
This is the CURRENT internet setup that is causing me problems. But this problem is duplicatable at other locations too and with other gl routers over the last 2-3 months. Hopefully this is just human error on my part. I am attaching the system log too.
ISP > ROUTER 1 > ROUTER 2 Connects via Repeater LAN > ROUTER 2'S Client Wireguard VPN turned on.

This issue is weird, we did not find the repeater interface connect process in the log, probably it is incomplete, you can PM to share the logread.tar with me for privacy.
SSH to the router, execute the commands before and after the repeater IP manually static:
ifconfig
ip r
please reboot the router and export the logread.tar after a complete reproduce operation, for sure the syslog is completely showing the issue.
