wireguard local ip with port not working

Hi there,
I have got wg working (Gl AXT1800) and can access my local network remote. Only access to local ip's with a port number are NOT working, e.g. 192.168.222.93:8787
If I visit 192.168.222.1 it works fine. Any suggestions how to fix this?

It should also be accessible with IP:port, if the IP is available to access.

First confirm whether can it ping 192.168.222.93?

Thank you Bruce for putting me on the right track.
Ping did not work on the .93 ip, so I switched off the vpn connection on this device and then it worked. I am now using the second lan port on the .93 NAS to connect with other ports while vpn is running on that machine. Now it works. I don't know if there is a better solution but for now it works.
