It can take some time ... until this release, could I switch for OpenWRT on my GL-AXT1800 ?

There is no official OpenWrt image for that device available, at least I wasn't able to find one using the firmware selector.

You might try this:

Right new snapshots are up and is based on Kernel 6.1.78 from openwrt. Normal spot SNAPSHOT BUILDS Please stress test the wireless system.
