Wireguard stability on GL-AR150

Got a few legacy GL-AR150s with the most recent firmware 3.216 2023-03-21 from GL.iNet download center uplinked via Ethernet through their WAN ports.

Wireguard Client tunnels for AllowedIPs = 0.0.0.0/0 to a FRITZ!Box server seem to go down (turning from green to yellow on 192.168.8.1 until manual dis-&reconnect) after a few hours or days at the most on GL-AR150, despite keep-alive every 25 seconds, while they run and auto-reconnect happily for months in the same configuration and locations on GL-AR300M16-Ext.

Is even Wireguard overburdening the discontinued GL-AR150 systems though traffic is only intermittent and below 10Mbit/s ?

Are there better long-term experiences with plain [OpenWrt Wiki] GL.iNet GL-AR150 ?

They should run fine as long as they have sufficient current on the 5V power supply.

Might consider logging into one over ssh and tailing the system log and see what SW is seeing...
