Wireguard VPN client working via WiFi but not ethernet

As the title says. When I turn on my Wireguard client and use my MacBook via WiFi, I can load web pages successfully. However, when I plug the ethernet cable into the laptop, web pages do not load. I have confirmed that this is not an IP address conflict, as my WiFi adapter and ethernet adapters do get assigned different IP addresses.

What are some reasons that this issue might be occurring? Router is a Flint 2.

The issue seems to have been cache-related. After disabling optimistic caching in AdGuard Home, the ethernet connection began working through the VPN. I have confirmed by checking the IP address and it is showing the client VPN IP.
