I am not sure why but in my GL-MT3000 Admin Panel when I go to Wireguard Client and select NordVPN then Update Servers then select the United States it only show me servers for Seattle. Why? I want the setup for ser
Me too. Flint2; latest firmware. I'm in FL. I don't want Seattle, so how to update manually ? And I switch to OpenVPN and get "auth failure". I reset the password; it's not the password. At least the Wireguard connection works, but I definitely don't want seattle servers. Anybody found a fix to either of these? The youtube videos always look so nice and easy. Then this...
i have been adding my own profiles. if you notice, if you were to check any of the seattle servers, it connects to seattle.us.wg.nordhold.net:51820.
I tried to create profiles from https://nord-configs.onrender.com/, and it never works on the direct host, such as us####.nordvpn.com. I don't know why it doesn't work. So I analyzed each of the seattle server, us####.nordvpn.com and they're all the same. I'm not sure how it actually connects to the specific server, but it's just a generic connection.
I found this doc, but it's for socks, so i decided to try new-york.is.wg.nordhold.net and apparently it does work and connects to a New York server, etcs.
I have finally figured out how to add servers manually for Wireguard with NordVPN. Instructions below are for Flint 2.
Turn off VPN on your router.
Go to https://nord-configs.onrender.com/ and find the server that you want to connect to. Use the Country and City filter top left to find the servers in the desired city.
Copy the configuration (A) and paste it in a notepad.
Go to your Gl-inet router page -> WireGuard Client.
In the list that is available, pick a random server and click the 3 dots for more options.
Click Edit and copy the configuration text (B). Save this on a separate notepad.
Back on the WireGuard Client page, click + New Group.
Click Manually Add Configuration.
Paste the configuration (B) in here.
Change the public key from configuration (A).
Change the city in Endpoint to the city that you have selected for A.
Save and run and it should be golden.
For Step 11, the format on configuration (B) looks different to (A). Retain the format for (A) but just change the city name at the front.
Here is how-to doc from Nord with a bit more detail. If you contact Nord Support via chat, they'll provide a specific server for your part of the world that has lowest latency and load..
