X3000 / T-Mobile IMEI issue

Hello! I recently swapped from the Sagecomm router to the x3000. It’s great! Except I’m having an issue. I’m getting half the speed of the Sagecomm. I have an external antenna connected to the x3000. My IMEI is set to the Sagecomm’s IMEI. It picks up no 5G signal even though I can see the correct 5G tower from my window.

So, today, I reset the IMEI using AT+QPRTPARA=3. This reverted my IMEI back to the original. Immediately after reboot, the x3000 picked up 5G! Except I can’t test because of the incorrect IMEI.

Anyway, I reverted it back to the Sagecomm, and I’m getting the same issue — no 5G towers.

Am I setting it right? I am using AT+EGMR=1,7,"XXXX".

Update: Ok, it seems like it may be an issue with T-Mobile, I will contact them tomorrow.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

So just changing IMEI will cause you problem with 5G/4G signal? Seems a problem definately need to ask the carrier.

Yeah, that is exactly what is happening. I’m working on that. I’ll report back if that’s the issue!

Well, I’ve had no luck. I tried a new device, and now I’m waiting on a new SIM.

I have a Waveform 4x4 MIMO antenna. Could that be the issue? It picks up 5G towers if I block all the 4G bands, so I don’t know. Hopefully the new sim fixes it!

I’m trying to figure out how to change my IMEI on my splitz 3000 and I can’t get it, can you explain to me how to change it please.
Thanks for
