Zerotier for Private Access with WAN access

I have A1300 and AX1800 on two remote sites.

Both routers are behind NAT and I have enabled Zerotier on both routers. What I want to achieve:

  1. Access resources connected with A1300 (a NAS and IP phone admin panel) via AX1800.
  2. Considering A1300 as "main", I also wants to use IP address of it through AX1800, that is, all traffic of AX1800 going through A1300.

Is it practical and can be achieved? Please guide if it can be done, dashboard on zerotier is confusing for me. I have authorized both routers to be on the same network ID.

Hello,

Already login and under the same ID, then complete the first step.

Next:

  1. In GL GUI > Application > Zerotier, enable "Allow Remote Access LAN"

  2. You need to add routes to Zerotier Dashboard

Then you can access resources from each other under Zerotier's network.

this function is not supported for the time being in GL firmware.

Thank you for your response.

I found Tailscale to be more reliable than Zerotier but it puts too much load on A1300 that it starts behaving quite weird with no Internet connectivity for any local device sometimes.

Still the issue with Tailscale as well is that "Exit Node" can't be enabled in the router. It this feature not available for any GL router for now? Is it planned for future implementation?

Yep, Tailscale is more reliable in some places/regions than Zerotier, but Tailscale is loading more resource than Zerotier.

And if the exit node is enabled, the loading will be greater. So there is no plan to develop this function for the time being.

We have launched AstroWarp, and you can try it out.
