A little help setting up NextDNS DoH

I tried to follow the instructions for DoH here for my NextDNS account: How to Manually Add DoT or DoH Servers on GL.iNet Routers

I simply copied the sdns:// url that is shown in NextDNS admin panel under “routers”, under DNSCrypt. Because it is already a stamp, I thought I didn’t need to use the stamp convertor. I made sure I used the right layout/indentation etc.

But after saving the file and restarting the services, the newly added dns server isn’t shown in the GUI under DNS > DoH > search for the name I used.

So I tried the stamp converter, but I wouldn’t know what IP address to fill in, I believe that field is optional. The other field is “hashes”, but I didn’t expect to need to do anything with that, since NextDNS already provides you with a stamp?

I don’t think you need to use the stamp convertor.

Restart your router and if it still doesn’t work check your .toml file. You also have to make sure the name you chose is unique otherwise it won’t work.

Omg stupid me. I used NextDNS-myid as name. But its case sensitive and in the WebGUI I simply kept searching for next which only showed the 3 default nextdnsoptions ofcourse. Stupid me. Its there, I can select it and it works!!
