I have a GL-A1300 and I have configured 24 DNS filters. I am sure all of them work as I copied them from my Pi and they get updated every hour.
Well, in my GL-A1300 not all of them are updated. I believe this could be caused by the long list and the device cannot handle such a long list?
I even changed the settings instead of updating every hour, to do it every 12 hours to avoid CPU consumption but as I understand, they are just txt files that should be downloaded and they are not that big.
Can I get some light on this and how can I get all the filters updated please?
Hello admon,
They all are free and can be downloaded without any account.

Most of them get updated, but some aren’t. I can tell the URL’s work as they open the txt file and these filters get updated in my Pi. So not sure if the issue might be the hardware itself that it needs more resources. The diskspace available is 22.40 MB so it has enough space
I think so too. The Pi has 8GB of memory, but also the usage I see is very little. Anyway, I believe the hardware ‘limitation’ could be the cause that not all lists are being updated. And also would make sense.
Hey J33Bee, I think the issue is not AdGuard itself but how powerful the router’s hardware performance. On a Raspberry Pi the updates work smoothly and I have set to update every hour. On the router to not stress it, I have it adjusted to update every 12 hours and still, is not updating all the lists. Even updating manually AdGuard to the latest version it doesn’t help. So believe this will be an unsolvable problem unless there is a way that the router can handle better CPU/Memory. Although I am missing something since they are just text files and shouldn’t be a big deal to download.
