Flint 2 is not blocking ads as good as it used to, the settings in AdGuard are identical prior v4.6.2 any suggestions, ads in apps in iOS appear now but if I switch routers and use a GL-AXT1800 Slate AX the ads are block correctly.
I have enabled and disabled the new Allow Custom DNS to Override VPN DNS, with it enabled after a few days it cusses slow DNS lookups with it off it’s fine.

The first thing to check is the query log to see if the device is sending it's DNS queries to AdGuard.
If the domains show up in the query log, you need to make sure your rules/filters are updated/enabled.
The second thing is not all ads are served from separate domains than the content you are requesting. This is becoming increasingly more popular which means adguard couldn't block the ads even if it wanted too unless you blocked the content along with the ads.
Thanks for the reply, what i have noticed with the Allow Custom DNS to Override VPN DNS enabled it works for a few days and the DNS lookup gets very slow if you then Deactivate Allow Custom DNS to Override VPN DNS lookups a quick but AdGuard don't filler ads, but note nothing has changed except the firmware.
Happened the same for me after updating to v4.6.2, also a lot of crashes and ending up without internet. Also AdGuard was not blocking anything not even custom domains,I just reverted back to the previous firmware and everything works fine, i tried all the options but is a waste of time, just revert back and all works normally again
Is there any difference when updating AdGuard to a newer version?
Yes thank you, got the same I’ve tried everything even change the DNS settings in AGH nothing works no ads being blocked, or Blocked services, hopefully the staff are reading and this and can be fix it quickly, I may also have to flash back until it’s fixed.
When you have no internet it’s because. AGH locks up if you toggle the Allow Custom DNS to Override VPN DNS it works agin but still no ad blocking.
I upgraded the AdGuard manually from git hub to the latest version as I always did before without issues, but with the latest version it was useless. Anyway with the previous 4.5 everything is stable and works fine

There is nothing to check or do except revert back to the 4.5 stable firmware. Everything was working fine before the update, so thats the cause of the issues. Wasted hours on checking and changing settings and restarting for nothing, after reverting back to 4.5 works like a charm

Try using Admon's script instead. What Im doing from fresh upgrade is enable AGHome, delete its directory inside /etc, disable it, use Admon's script to update and enable it again. This will ask you to set it up again to just use 3000 and 3053 for ports. It may involve extra steps that were not needed but this procedure didn't fail me at all even on other devices.

Did you check firewall in luci?
datapacket looks like a VPN server, for mullvad think.
What VPN settings are you using in the router?
Just clarify that you are using Adguard and vpn at the same time, right?
Your dns leak test shows the dns of vpn service or Adgaurd Home? I mean this one
Yes VPN and AGH now flashed back to 4.5.8 and running perfectly.

It seems that we beaks something when fixing dns leaks. This is especially true when using vpn and adguard home at the same time.
