Before I log in to Amazon to order one, can anyone tell me if the Lite version is firmware compatible with the LEDE 17.01.04 NOR release for the AR-300M?
I can’t see anywhere if the chipset has changed, or is it just the NAND and one ethernet port removed?
But one problem of the the firmware from LEDE. It doesn’t have wifi enabled. How will you connect to the router if you use this firmware? The Ethernet port is WAN, not LAN.
I am having this problem exactly. After flashing the LEDE 17.01.04 version, I cannot connect to my ar300m lite router since there is no lan port and the wifi is off by default in Lede. Is there anything that I can do now or the router is bricked?
The problem is I already flashed my ar300m lite router with stock Lede, so now I cannot connect to my router. So I also cannot flash it anymore. Any ideas?
The Uboot GUI interface is very convenient. Make sure you select the NOR flash option as the NAND chip is not installed in the Lite version.
To get into the Uboot GUI:
Set your computer’s ethernet to 192.168.1.2 static address, subnet mask 255.255.255.0.
Connect the Lite WAN port to the ethernet port on your computer.
Unplug the usb power lead from the Lite.
Press and hold the reset button. Keeping it held, plug the USB power lead back in keeping the reset button pressed and count slowly to 20 (just to make sure) before letting go.
On your computer browser, go to 192.168.1.1 and you should be given the Uboot GUI.
Remember to select the NOR flash option. It will upload whatever you give it so make sure you use the correct firmware.
For convenience if you are not ready to build your own firmware, there is a standard LEDE image with wifi enabled and luci installed on our web site here:
This is NOT a GL-iNet release but one I have made and is straight from the standard LEDE ImageBuilder, with wifi enabled and nothing else but luci installed.
I tried your firmware but i have this error when updating the software list. any ideas? i can download the file when accessing directly the link. im connected in the router
