[AR150] problem with usb port with gl.inet firmware

Hi,
I connect my ups usb cable to the related port of this router but it not recognized, because lsusb does not show it. The problem appears when powered via POE (netgear GS116LP) or via usb (5V, 2A).
The cable and the ups should be ok because they works with windows and other spare parts (ups, other cables…) I have, so the last thing remained is the router, hardware of software.
This is the dmesg:

What can I do/test? Thanks for any help!!!

You will need to load up the appropriate packages…

Guidance here - use the post 18.06 tips as things have changed over time

Hi,
I’m using apcupsd… However the problem seems to happen before the ups program and related config. Link you posted refers about the driver used in NUT but I first need to see the ups under lsusb. I read the apcupsd page of openwrt and tried every usb driver I found but nothing.
I add that the usb port works with a pendrive.

this is the dmesg with another working cable:

uhm, it seems there is a similar problem on ar300, here

Generally such errors are due to not enough power output from the USB port.

I will try eventually with a powered hub usb…

Just tried with a usb hub with no external power and… It works! Cannot understand why but that’s all! Sad to have to connect another dongle but it is ok for now.
