Cannot login to advanced luci interface, but ssh works

hello, thanks

— i just updated firmware on my usb150 from 3.211 to 3.212, and then did a factory reset

— now, on my usb150, NOT able to log into luci advanced interface
yet, i am able to
— log into main glinet web interface
— log into ssh.

note: have rebooted and powered off the usb150 multiple times, still cannot login to luci interface.

please help, thanks

I think luci is not installed, right?

You need to install it from the default UI.

I have the same issue on GL-B1300 with 3.212 firmware…

I’m unable to login to Luci web interface, nor SSH.

I tried reinstalling Luci as suggested:

I don’t have this issue on my other router GL-AR750 (also 3.212 firmware), and both Luci web interface, and SSH login work, but versions are slightly different there…

Powered by LuCI openwrt-19.07 branch (git-21.189.23240-7b931da) / OpenWrt 19.07.8 r11364-ef56c85848

Version Information: git-21.189.23240-7b931da-1

Should it just a wrong password?

Should it just a wrong password?

It’s identical password that I’m using to login into router.

Ok, I just changed admin password to different one, and back to one that didn’t work before, and both login to Luce, and SSH work now. So it might be something with update?

The passwords for web and ssh (luci) are actually two different settings.

The UI changes them to the same.

So it looks like you changed root password via ssh or luci before. Or it could be an issue from firmware upgrade.

I haven’t change it via SSH, nor Luci. I don’t use SSH at all, and I use Luci only to rename clients.

Anyhow, for posterity in case someone else has the same problem, solution for me was to change password in main firmware UI.
